Blower motor question
Blower motor question
Has anybody figured out a way to make the blower motor run faster in a '92 camaro? I mean honestly, it should put out double of what it does, it just doesnt seem enough. Especially in the florida heat, it just doesnt blow enough cold air to cool you off. Is there another motor I could use without too much fabrication, or should i just run some real thigh gauge wire to it? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

This is a frequent complaint (I purchased a new motor and was quite pleased with the outcome--probably because my fan was 20 years old or so). A

I didn’t do a search but I did do a quick scan of what was posted. Must of missed it, I did buy a new motor and it still blows a little pathetic I am thinking or running some thicker wires to the blower may this will help. My other thought is to use a motor from an electric fan. There is room but I was hoping someone already did all this I know a motor like this will pull a lot of amperage.
No vacuum leak no leaks anywhere. I just want a way to put more air out. I am going to the junkyard this weekend I am thinking of pulling the motor from a ford tours. It puts out 6000 cfm I am also planning on fabricating a more efficient squirrel cage. Does anyone else have any other ideas?

i would have to say theres a good chance theres a restriction of some kind inside the system or a door not opening up very much or a mouse nest or something else going on, yours should be putting out as good of air as one that does put out good air, like they were when they were new
something has happened over the years in the system to restrict it
common problem, happens all the time
and it sucks
hope you figure it out

Will it work?

Is it a direct fit?
Will it require any mods?
If that works, then you have solved a problem that many a third gen owner have faced.
PLEASE respond back if you get this to work, I would LOVE to get into my car, and have a nice refreshing WOOSH of cold air as I get seated.
how do i get to the blower assembly it doesent seem to be hooked up for the a/c or the heat. i just bought the car and it has no air flow what so ever the guy siad that he disconnected the a/c but didnt say anything about the heeter and now it doesent work, so im assuming that its disconnected anyone know were it is pictures are great?
