Hi all, I need some help with my a/c system. I had it recharged today and found out the compressor wouldn't come on. We tested the fuses and the fuse holder and power was coming from it, we jury rigged the plug to the compressor and it worked. But the problem is that if I use the max a/c setting and the max fan setting the compressor will not turn on. So I need a wiring diagram for a 1984 trans am a/c system. We think its either a pulled out wire from the back of the a/c - I'll take apart the center console to get to the a/c controls. If that's not it, it has to be a open circuit where power is not getting to the compressor. So I really need a wiring diagram for this a/c system please.

Did you check the A/C dryer low pressure switch? That is often the culprit. Does the system have enough refrigerant? If the compressor turns on only with slow blower setting, it would point to low pressure in the system.
