A/C Leak????

92 z-28....so i figure my control unit is fried so thats why its stuck on defrost...but i still cant find the leak. I used the UV freon to look for any leaks but only place i saw the UV was on the low pressure plug where u fill it(could have shot on it when i took the plug off of it).....is there anywhere i might not be looking thats hard to see??? I fully recharged the thing twice and by the next day the clutch was clicking on and off because the pressure was to low and it didnt blow cold anymore. If its leaking so fast there must be a big leak....could it be the plug?????

update---Looks like its coming from the compressor, Damn! can it leak from the compressor if the compressor is bad? the clutch engages...

Axle/Gears: huh?? guessing stock.
the heat/AC system is vacume powered so that at a loss of Vac your car will default to Defrost so you can at least see outta the winshield to drive. In my sisters old bird there was a small 2 inch dia .25 inch thick octopus looking vacume distributition thingy that controlled where the air went ie heater, floor, vents, defroster. might lok into that. sounds like it is leaking and thus defaulting to the defroster setting. Im memory serves it was about 15 bucks for the part.

yep. your car is 14 years old. things wear out. you are going to have to replace that, and wile you are at it micght as well do the condenser and evap tube at teh same time. that way it will ALL be nice and fresh.

Sorry if my first reply was not what you needed, but thought you said your control was locked to defrost....
