will AC turn fan on high or low?
well I have been sorting cooling issues out of my 89 rs for a while now. every thig is decent untill I turn on the AC then things tend to go north of 240. I dont like that. I recently flushed out the system, and wired the fan control relay to a grounded switch so that I can retain factory settings or hit the switch at my discretion to kick the fan sooner.
I recently noticed that if I have the switch set to factory and the AC on my temps sit around 230-235 driving at 75MPH with 85-90 deg ambient temps. if I hit my manual fan switch at this point my temp will drop a little. Seems like with AC on my fan is not spinning as fast as it can, but when I hit my switch it gives it the extra power to spin faster nd cool more.
My second question is if I hae the factory setting s controlling the fan will it still come on if the temps reach 230 or whatever the switch is programed at? or will the fan only come on at low speeds. My friend thinks that the factory settings wont let the fan come on at driving speeds over say 35 mph. is this true?
