82-85 LG4 cooling fans did they use a spacer ?

on the LG4 mechanical fans did they use the removable spacer like some other applications did ? or no ?

if they did use a spacer then how thick are they ?

pic of one of the correct fan assemblies ? spacer ?

thanks

No, they're clutch fans. The fan clutch is the only thing that goes between the water pump and the fan.

It looks something like this, usually doesn't have so many blades on the fan, though.

Most cars had a 3 blade fan with just an upper fan shroud. Some had 5 blades with both an upper and lower shroud. Both are about 17" diameter or so.

My 85 had a five-blade (it's sitting in the garage) with upper and lower shroud.

My '83 had a 7 blade fan with thermo clutch and upper/lower shroud assembly. This was part of the HD cooling package.I say had because I switched to factory dual electric(the clutch had failed on my anyhow).
