underhood temps
Well the car runs almost perfect out of the box..but the hood gets very hot from the turbo headers. I"m running a harwood fiberglass hood. Anyone ever buy that sticky heat insulation to put on it? I'm wondering if I could just do the area directly above the headers. Any other suggestions (other than header wrap).

Yeah, you best get some insulation under that hood. I would do the entire piece else you risk blistering your paint. I need this piece too but recommend you only consider the molded insulation instead of the felt-like one (it sheds fiberglass).

i dont think I need the entire underhood done.. I've run it like this before w/a bbc in 100deg heat.. I'm going to try just the area around the headers/turbo then shoot it w/a temp gun to see how hot its getting. i'll keep ya posted.
