Re: temp sensor
ok this is what they are
1: Drivers (LH) side head there is a sensor for the (in cab) Temp guage.
2: Passenger (RH) side there is a temp sensor to activate the fan (Dual fans only i think).
3: Intake there is a sensor for the ECM.
I thought only the dual fans had a passenger (RH) side senser to turn the secondary fan on coz the main fan is controled by the ECM.
If im wrong someone will corect me, Hope it helps.

There is still a temp sensor on the Pass side that controls the main fan even if you only have one. Joined: Jun 2005

Re: temp sensor
pull the connector the same direction the wire is going and it will slide off. keep it parallel to the block and you shouldn't damage anything.

Re: temp sensor
nah the drivers side temp sensor is closer to the front of the engine under the exhaust manifold.
It looks like a spade connector.

Re: temp sensor
wait... is youre car RHD or LHD?
If LHD it is in the drivers side head near the front of the engine.
If RHD it is in the passenger side head near the front of the engine.

Re: temp sensor
well when i got my car my setup was:
Fan Temp Switch was in Intake next to T/Stat housing.
In cab temp guage sensor was in LHS head (Close to the front of the engine)
and that is it. No ECM and a hacked up wiring loom.
I now have:
Fan Temp switch in same location with a new aftermarket temp guage sensor right next to it in the Intake, the OEM guage sensor is still in the LHS head but it is only as a guide since i have not put the aftermarket temp guage in the cab yet (hookd up under the hood next to the battery).
The aftermarket one was only installed to get a idear of how close the OEM guage was and to tell me at what temp my fans were coming on.

Re: temp sensor
YES!!!! thats it, the spade conector (green wire) slides over the round end.
If you still have aircon then Yeah it will be almost imposible to see.
