Fan relay problem
I have a custom wiring harness I've made to turn both my fans on. I'm using a Zirgo 180 deg. fan switch in the right cyl. head to turn one relay on, which turns on two other relays that supply power to both fans. Works great to turn the fans on, no problem at all there.
The problem I'm having is when the engine cools down again after I get back on the highway and the fans aren't needed and the temp is below the turn off temp for the fan switch, the fans never turn off until I turn the car off, or disconnect the power to the trigger relay for just a second. Put the power wire back on and fans are off until the temp goes up again.
Is there some kind of resistor I need to put inline with the first relay to get it to turn off by itself??? It seems like something is keeping the first relay turned on until I break the circuit. I've checked the fan switch. It turns off, but the relay stays on.
