Hey BBCFAN, just got a question first do you have dual fans or a single one?
Also do you have a V8 or V6?
If it turns on with the aircon it is not the relay.
What sensor/switch did you replace, Drivers side or passenger side?

Ok thanks I think the one I replaced is for the temp gauge. Had to order a new one so I will see what it looks like when I get it. But maybe someone else could chime in.

Re: fan issue on a 92 Camaro
hey guys um i have a 92 Z28 305 TPI cam, headers Y-pipe, deleted out cat, flowmaster exhaust. my passanger side fan is not kicking on, so i checked the fuse its fine, so i swaped the wires, took the driver side and put it on the passanger side and it still didnt kick on, so i put the wires back to the right fans and now neither one will kick on, and i know that the driver side one was working cause it was working yesterday may 23rd 07, any ideas? i didnt wanna start a new thread.
Re: fan issue on a 92 Camaro

Re: fan issue on a 92 Camaro
I don't imagine TBI being much different than TPI... if the fan kicks on at all your motor and relay is good. Your temp sensor for your gage should be in the driver's side head between #1 & #3 spark plugs. Your temp sensor to the ECM should be in the intake manifold and the fan temp switch should be in the passenger side head between #6 & #8 plugs.

Re: fan issue on a 92 Camaro
There is a fuse in the fuse box for the fan relay coil supply, the motor supply is protected by a fusible link coming off the battery. Should be an orange wire with a red fusible link.

Actually, the sensor that is in the intake mainfold on the TBI cars is the temperature sensor for the computer. The switch for the coling fans is in the passenger cylinder head.
