Trouble finding a new thermo housing
Trouble finding a new thermo housing
I snapped the ear off of my thermostat housing on a 2.8...not a big deal, i know it happens, its off an 86 and its never been changed before and the car was running like 110 degrees. So i needed it that night and i went to 2 local parts stores, one a NAPA and one a Parts + store. Neither had it in stock and they told me they cant order it either. Its not made anymore? Im going to try a few more stores, but has anyone had a similar problem or heard of such a thing?

I was able to find one through a dealer parts supplier (fullservice) was under $30
Re: Trouble finding a new thermo housing
its a pretty common part i would imagine it would still be made since theres tons of 2.8s out there. I dont feel like getting one out of a junkyard but looks like i'll have to. Ive tried to get a couple things for this car that arent made anymore...cant quite remember what but i just thought it was kinda rediculous since its not that old of a vehicle
