ya, there's been a lot of posts on this (keeping my fingers crossed that this doesn't happen). one guy even heated the tubes and then bent them. did you check at a GM parts place?

Re: HEARTER CORE QUESTIONS
Parts I don't want to replace twice I get from Carquest or Napa with success - that's where I got my heater core at, but that was last year.

.....You might want to snap a Poloroid and draw up a to size schematic to bring with you to your higher end parts store.
Just another thought; are you sure you've diagnosed correctly? It is leaking and you're not just dealing with a 'no-heat' problem? (I just had to use a little water pressure to blow out a blockage in mine & it's worked great since [even though I keep my cooling system squeeky clean and fresh]) Nitro

Re: HEARTER CORE QUESTIONS
....Is there NOT a part on our F-bodies that dosn't need to be replaced by 150k miles????? I feel for you. If it was summer you could just bypass the thing until you get more time to run the correct part down.....

Re: HEARTER CORE QUESTIONS
ya but if it was summer i would have time to work with it cause i wouldnt have school so i would have more time plus i have to work out side so it would be better. but this isnt really a time ritical thing cause the car is no longer a daily driver for now im fixin the few problems it has now so when i get my drivers licence it will b a good daily driver again.also my car has over 288,000 miles on it and most of the parts are holdin up well

Re: HEARTER CORE QUESTIONS
I bought my heater core from Autozone for around $30. The tubes lined up just like the original for me, once I got everything in place. It was a pain getting everything in position, but once I had it it slipped right through the holes in the firewall.
