water pump rotation...

ok, i am having brainfart issues, and cant remember which way the water pump rotates when you are standing in front of the car and looking at the water pump mounted to the engine...

I replaced the water pump, and wanted to make sure i got the correct pump for my serpentine application,

also, when the rear cover on the serpentine pump is removed, should the impellers have a rotation to the left or right??

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
Re: water pump rotation...

Serpentine = "reverse" rotation = counter-clockwise

Hard to say how the impeller is designed & shaped. Just pay attention that it will move water OUTWARDS when spun in the correct direction.
