bad water pump?
i need a little advice. my 89 tpi i believe has a water pump on its way out. its an after market edelbrock one. it was on the car when i bought it but the car hadnt been run in over seven years when i got it. i put new seals in but didnt tamper with the water pump. i am getting some leakage from the weap hole on the bottom side and i also am getting intermiten noise that sounds like the bearing in pump might be going out. the sound almost sounds like a loose rocker arm but i have new roller lifter and rockers and they have been triple checked. the car seems to stay plently cool, it rarely gets past the first mark on the gauge, but the engines down time leads me to believe that its the bearings or bearing seals that have just dried up from sitting for so long then getting used alot.
anyone else have any similar symptoms before thier water pump went or am i look ing in the wrong place?
thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions

Yes, it's bad. That's how you tell. Weeping means water is getting past the bearing seals.
