Did you chech fuse? try replacing the senors (1.) on the driives side head a lil green wire connected to a brass lil tab. 2. the coolant temp senor on the block on the passanger side

Check the green wire..If it is loose your gauge wont read..Had that problem way back...Connection wasnt solid...reconnected and blamo! she worked
Havnt checked the fuse, but the wire connection seemed solid. Ill have to check it again.

Another possibility you can assume is the temp needle is stuck. My temp gauge shoots passed 220 and gets stuck between the gauge and the cover. So I had to bend the gauge (this isn't visible when assembled)so the needle would just hit it and fall back down when I turnon my ignition. Just a thought, I apologize if this isn't your issue.
