weird problem

so a few days ago i was driving and I noticed that my temp gauge pegged So I pull to the side of the road and check it out and my water pump blew so today I replaced it and now my car runs but when you give it throttle it dies when its coming down to an idle and my radiator fan doesn't run anymore. I'm thinking my coolant temp sensor is bad. any ideas?

Re: weird problem

you may have worped the heads and blew the head gaskets when you over heated the engine...

Re: weird problem

If your temp gauge is working then your temp sensor is alright. May be because of faulty relay (maybe in the wiring at the relay), blown fuse, faulty fan switch or faulty fan, start eliminating problems. Try bypassing power to get the fan running to see if it will kick on. if it does your fan is alright.

Is it hard to start your car???

may have fuel problem. check the fuel pressure, if you can, to make sure fuel is getting delivered.
