possible fan temp location idea?

possible fan temp location idea?
im going to install a low temp switch. i dont want to put it in the passenger side head, i have edlebrock headers and they make removal of the switch a real PITA! on my water pump there is a passage plugged on the top of the pump. would this be a suitable location? i have adapters that would make the switch fit. thanks
