Hood Insulation and Rear Hood Seal, Yes or No???

Hood Insulation and Rear Hood Seal, Yes or No???
how much hotter are the underhood temps with the insulation installed? Im wanting to put it back in so i can cover up the messed up paint under the hood, but if it raises the temp alot i will repaint the under hood
also i know its an old hot rodder trick to remove the hood seal in back to allow some of the hot air to get out, anyone notice a difference on there 3rd w/o it, i know it worked on cars i have done it to in the past

jason , the hood pad is there for sound insulation only , not heat . the rear seal on the hood keeps eng. fumes from getting into a/c & vent inlets . ( the screened inlets by the base of the wiper blades ) you will really notice it in the summer with a/c & stop & go traffic . i found out the hard way . good luck .

hmmmm................well...... i need something under there or i need to repaint it
never had the fume problem on my other cars i did that to....i dont think im doing it to the camaro, as i run the AC alot in it
