89 camaro built 350 overheating

i have an 89 camaro with an built 350 motor i have dual fans blowing at 2000rpm each and a 3 or 4 flute radiator not sure this is a vortec 350 the motor was re built has a 501 501 cam it might have 600 miles on it i was rideing the other day and my temperature started to rise if i get above 60 it rose to about 210 normal running temp is 150 to 160 on a cool day im really kind of stumped because i dont have a thermostat in it plus my fans work and we changed the waterpump a few days ago but the pump wasnt new we had one that we had taken off the motor before we got it running right it needs new plugs but i dont know im clueless i need some help

Your fans are running the wrong way against the natural airflow I bet.

that was problem awhile back but i bought fans that only run one wy and ive been driveing it on a 39.7 mile comute for he past couple of weeks with no problem till just recently

150 to 160 is way too low of an operating temperature. 210 is absolutely perfect.

make sure your air dam is still there, go up front get on your hands and knees and look, you should see a black flap hanging down


i dont like to see my motor over 190, all the high heat is for emissions crap normaly...

put a 160 stat in it, i have heard of motors having to much coolent flow, that its going to fast w/o the restriction of the stat it dont have enough time to remove the heat....they also make water restrictors if you totaly dont what a stat
