Volts drop low when fan come on.....

Does anyone know why my volts drop when my fan comes on? They drop below 13 and the rpms drop also. If my lights are on, they dim also. They will go back up after a few seconds or if I hit the gas.

The fan takes a lot of current to run. You'll also see the same thing if you turn on the rear defroster. The worst case is sitting at a traffic light at night in the rain with headlights, wipers, windshield defroster and rear defroster all going at once while idling. You'll definitely notice that the gauge has dropped!

My rear window defogger doesn't drop my volts at all. But that might be because only half of it works. That's a search I need to do.
