Re: mystery coolant leak
Check the under side of the engine, and radiator.
If you don't have a jack and stands, or use of a lift you can
drive up on the sidewalk with just one side of the car.
Use a flashlight to look for coolant, a led light works best.
With all that said if you can't find anything it's probally a intake leak.

Re: mystery coolant leak
there is a few places were it could be going. my problem is the heater core. i have a pin hole in it some were and it slowly drips on my passenger side floor pan.it might take a hour to get your carpet or floor mat wet. tell me what you find out
Re: mystery coolant leak
First check to see if your dropping any on the ground, then track down the source. Common places are out of the weep hole on the bottom of the water pump, look for a white crusty trail, or if the pump makes a howling noise, usually associated with leaking to, replace the pump. Another common spot is the plastic side tanks on the radiator, not as easy to find small cracks, usually pressure test required. Also the drain spigot, the oring dries out and cracks letting coolant by. If it's me and I take a radiator out and it's original have the tanks replaced, just good sense.
Other options not so likely, crack in the water jacket on the block. Drain plug/knock sensor on sides of block. I had a car once leaking coolant out the freeze plug and it burned the coolant off before it could drip on the ground, never lost much coolant, but could always smell it, was a real mystery for years till I rebuilt the motor and saw the white crusty build up around the plug.

Re: mystery coolant leak
i had the same problem. I kinda ignored it for a while and then I found a pool of coolant on my passenger side floor. It turned out to be my heater core.
