Modded Cooling problem, bad fix??

1988 Iroc with ZZ4 350, Edelbrock headers, Crane Cam rocker arms, and ProCharger P600B Supercharger (9Psi).

I bought this car the way it is and it had a leaking Ron Davis aluminum radiator that could not be repaired.

I just replaced with a new identical radiator and had the whole system flushed. It has dual electric fans, 160 thermostat, and a hypertech switch for secondary fan (on at 176, off at 166).

Was driving around town for about 30 minutes and was just starting to redline as I got home(no A/C). It was about 70 outside. The primary fan never came on. I could hear the coolant bubbling.

So my neighbor and I ran a jumper from the secondary to the primary fan so they would both turn on at 176. Drove it today around town again for about 30 minutes, today was about 75 outside. The highest the temp got was 225, I can live with that.

So my question is, what will be the drawbacks of both fans coming on at 176? I assume they will be running most of the time as I for the most part only drive this around town.

Also, is there anything else I can do to get this to run cooler?
