fan switch

I have been having a problem actually getting my fan switch actually out, it just sits and spin, the bolts not stripped but i think it might be the threads. But the red arrow parts (pic) will just spin, in the blue arrow parts. And the blue part has a lip on it so i can't just pull them both out. Any ideas? or am i just doing this completly wrong?
