Throttle body cooling problem

Throttle body cooling problem
On my 2.8 there are two hoses that go up the the throttle body for cooling. earlier i noticed the plate that mounts underneath is leaking. So my question is, as a temporary fix could i just bypass it by putting the hoses together? Would it hurt any thing? I mean how hot could it get with all the cold air going through it.

The coolant hoses to the throttle body are actually
there to HEAT the throttle body to prevent it from
icing up under certain cold weather conditions-
it's ok to bypass and connect the hoses together.
