if it does actually pull 2500 cfm(ratings of many after-
market fans tend to be exagerated),it should do
the job,i recon the stock single pulls about 2500 cfm.

here's what i have:
http://ffdynamics.com/FFD3600B.html

i have it hooked up to a Flex-a-lite variable speed controller. i highly recommend it- very good quality. it works great and pulls a lot of air. this fan, an in-tact air dam, and a 180* stat and not even close to overheating- even on a scorching hot summer day

Re: Recomended fan CFM for 305 ASAP!!

Not quite certain if the 16 7/8ths fits, but turn it around 90 degrees and it´s only 15 7/8ths high which certainly fits in a stock TBI

Anything actually pulling 2500 CFM will do. I replaced my original fan with a 2000 CFM model and it does pull more air then the stock one. I have heard several people on this forum state the original fan pulls something between 1200 and 1500 CFM.

Since my fan gave up shortly after I purchased the car I have no means of confirming this.
