92 v6 blower motor wire and heater core hoses

i have a 92 camaro rs with a v6 and a 5 speed bogwarner
i have 2 questions

question 1
i need to replace the heater core hoses and i was wondering if the two hoses are form fitted or can i just get two regular hoses !
question 2
i dont have a purple wire for the power but i do have a orange wire that looks to be for the underhood light! but it looked like it was the plug for the heater motor but i dont have a light at all looks like it was never one there !
thanks again !

1) On a v6, I can't really remember but, there should be a couple molded hoses regardless. I'm sure a couple could be replaced with straight hose but, most any chain store should have/can get the proper hose fairly cheap. Not straight hose cheap but, that's up to your budget.

2) Where's the question ?

No big deal.. I thought that's what you were getting at but, you never know...

If your car had (removed) a under hood light, the wire is always hot and way to thin gauge to (safely) run the blower at full speed.

Sometimes, there is wiring in a harness never used as well.

Is the blower a new problem or, something you're trying to fix since acquiring the car ?

Re: 92 v6 blower motor wire and heater core hoses

The blower motor high speed relay should be mounted directly to the blower box (just left, looking at it from under the hood, of the accumulator [silver can]). It's grouped with the rest of the wiring from the resistor 'pack' which is plugged directly to the blower box.
Within that group of wires should be your motor (purple, 14ga) wire. If it's not in that general area, along with the other related wiring, it may have been hacked out by the previous owner.

Here's the way my '91 looks. Older cars had a slightly different high speed relay and wasn't mounted to the blower box IIRC
