Man Down! (Radiator Problem)
SOO here's what happened. I had to run by the house to grab some things, then I needed to run by McDonalds to satisfy my tastebuds, I think the unhealthy food cursed my car.. BECAUSE while the lady was asking me "would you like any ketchup" I noticed a CLOUD of smoke coming from under the hood. ****.
So I got out of the drive thru and parked right away. Opened the hood to a sizzling sound, shined the flashlight in and damn, my radiator was DUMPING coolant, none left, almost none that is.
So after a phone call my grandpa came with a bucked of water, poured it in, and told me to go as fast as I could home. I ran two stop signs (I live in a small *** town so it doesnt matter) because the heat was climbing, never into the red though.
SO TOMMAROW we are off to find a new radiator. Fantastic. Now I get to drive a boring *** Toyota Camry for a WEEK. a;lsdjfaskf;asdf. Idk if I can do it.
Everything seems to be going wrong RIGHT before I'm getting my car all fixed up, (It's getting painted in two weeks) haha, DAMMIT.

Before you put that new radiator in and think everything will be fine you have to figure out what caused it to overheat, I would check to make sure the fan is coming on if not could be a bad relay or dead motor. Check the thermostat too. And where was the coolant coming out of if it was just at the cap thats fine you dont need a new radiator.

kragen has aluminum radiators. like 110 bucks. like two row. itd get you back on the road, i promise.. off the topic, i remember the first time i heard a radiator hose pop. i was at the light laughing, haha, this caddy escalade was in the drive through at this burger joint. popped steam ga-lor. The car behind it backed up as if it was going to blow up. it was cool.. never idle at a burger joint. theyre the reason theres global warming, j/k

Re: Man Down! (Radiator Problem)
Man I swear theres something about burger joints and blown hoses/radiators.
About 10 months ago, I go outside on lunch break and fire up my car. I take off down the road and notice every turn I take, the power steering is slipping HORRIBLY! I figure oh crap time for a new pump. I get to the burgerking drive-thru and notice the engine is running about 10F warmer than It's usual temp. At this point, I have virtually NO power steering. So I hurry up and yank my food, do like 10 full nelsons on the steering wheel trying to get back to work, and park the car just as it begins to creep into the overheat zone.
I get out, pop the hood and scan the engine bay. Discovered a small amount of coolant on the drivers side strut tower and scratch my head trying to figure out how it got there. I also notice that my power steering belt is soaked in coolant. I start the engine up and let it idle, and give it a small amount of throttle at the throttlebody and jump as a small stream of coolant flies up off the crank and hits me in the side of the head. WTF... So I jerk the throttle to about 75%, and then all of a sudden see a supersoaker XP3000 of a blast open up underneath the car. I jump back into the car, shut the engine down and get down to see that the lower radiator hose has exploded and all of my coolant is now snaking It's way down the costco parking lot.
I place a call to the local advanceauto explaining the situation and telling them I am stranded. 2 hours later, an AA PT cruiser pulls up out front of costco delivering 2 gallons of coolant, a lower radiator hose and clamps. 2 more hours later after fighting the old hose/clamps with nothing but a quarter and a screwdriver from the tire center, I'm on my way home.
