a/c compressor not clicking

My ac compressor doesnt click when I turn the ac on. When I pull the plugs from the compressor nothing happens. The ac/heat fuse under the dash is ok and the heat works fine. When I unplug the relay by the acumulator the system shuts off same if I unplug the pressure switch. I also put a new screen in the orifice tube today. Please help it is getting warm down here and I have 2 kids. Car is a 91 RS camaro 305 auto just bought 2 days ago.

You need to find out if the system contains refrigerant, and at the proper amount.

Go to an auto parts store and get a set of gages, then with engine off (because the compressor won’t run anyway) measure the LOW side and see what the pressure is.

Happy Racing!
