tranny cooler lines touching header

so i was under my car again messing with the headers, and i noticed that
the two metal cooling lines are touching my header and im not sure if that is normal or not. They wont move from that position either and im afraid of bending them incase i break them.

so should they be there or not?

Re: tranny cooler lines touching header

No, they should be up against the block. You can tweak them alot before they kink/bend. Just move them enough to get away from touching the header. suprised you dont hear a rattle from under the car.

Re: tranny cooler lines touching header

you should have clips that secure them against the block. If you dont I may have the ones from my stock motor still.

Re: tranny cooler lines touching header

if you cant move them away to far and afraid of breaking them put a wrap on them to atleast cool the lines alittle you should be able to moive them alot if they're not corroding

Re: tranny cooler lines touching header

Easy fix would be to use zip ties and you can cut them off at any time and there cheap.
