Temp. gauge doesn't work.
Does anyone know why my temp. gauge won't work? Sometimes when I turn on my heater it will peg all the way to the top and stay there for a couple days. But most of the time it won't move one bit from the bottom of the gauge. I've replaced my temp. sensor, fan switch, and thermostat. Where do I go from there?

The gauge itself might be bad. Have you traced the wires from the temp sensor on the manifold to make sure its not shorted out or cut or fryed in some way? The fan switch and thermostat dont have anything to do with the gauge. Its run off its own sensor on the front of the manifold and the wires run straight into the car and in to the dash harness to the gauge cluster.

I've traced the wire to the drivers side manifold and it looks/feels ok. Is there anywhere to get an O.E.M. replacement gauge?

I think hawks third gen has a few stock gauges. Or you can hit up a local junkyard.
