want to hook up the fans so they run automaticly
i have the fan to a ignition source and when i shut the car off the car stays running and i know its from the fan wiring but i hate haveing a switch so my ? is how do i hook it up to the ignition and be able to shut the car off properly?

Get a seperate adjustable fan controller - they run anywhere from $35 on up into the $100+, just depends on what bells and whistles you want. Then you can adjust at what temp the fan comes on.

Use the fan circuit from a TBI car

It uses a thermal switch in the pass cyl head instead of being commanded by the ECM. IIRC Hypertech offers multiple thermal switches closing at different temperatures. It may be a different company though
To get this to run even when the car is off, switch the fused 12v IGN to fused 12v battery
