So my radiator cracked today and i went ahead and bought another one, everything was smooth but i cant seem to get the transmission cooling line fittings to screw into the radiator slots.

Is there some sort of trick to getting the lines in?

I keep trying and trying and the fitting just spins and never catches on, sometimes it feels like it finally caught on but then just spins back out.


I compared both radiators and they both have the same slots, even tried putting my old one back on and i couldnt even do that.

So what am i missing? thanks for any help.

 

could be stuck on the o-ring, may need to push it in farther (although it feels like it's in all the way), or you could be at a slight angle, i've had that happen before. Best I can say is run the part number to double check you got what you wanted.

 

you have to get a nice straight shot, gotta man handle the line around till it lines up right, when it does, it will go in.

 

yup basically thats it. they can be tricky sometimes.
