Whats a good on off temp for single elec fan?

I have a stock 1986 305 TPI Automatic, and it has a 180deg thermostat.

What would be a a good fan enable and disable temperature for this?

I have a 180* stat on 305 TPI. Fan switch is 211* on, not sure what the off is, but it's about 190*. After experimenting with a few, this one is perfect, it only runs in traffic. If you go any lower the fan will run a lot more than it needs to.

If you go with this, the fan will never shut off once on.

Most fan switches (the screw into the block OE style) have a roughly 10° temp swing. Autozone sw505 is a 215°F on fan switch. 'perfect' for a stock motor. The ECM (TPI, v6) controlled fans were set to run at 220°F.

There is little to no benefit to running any cooler thermostat on a stock motor.
