Is this the cooling fan relay?

So I've been scouring over quite a few diagrams and I can't seem to find anything that matches this perfectly. I find a relay, and then a few wires don't match up so before I do anything I wanted to know what it is.

The green wire was hooked up to my old relay (a flexilite thermal probe) and then a yellow wire (not shown - I'm assuming it's an ignition signal since it reads 11.5volts somewhat steadily when the car is running) was also hooked up. I'm hooking up a hayden relay, and it wants an ignition signal (which I've determined is the yellow wire), an A/C clutch wire, and 12v+ positive constant (which I've found on a red wire previously used). I used a multimeter to find these and they seem fine.

The brown/white wire was hooked up to a wire coming from under the top of my hood, near the "turbo hood"... anyone know what it's function is? It was soldered. Not sure if it's meant to even be there.

Before I started hooking everything back up, I just wanted to know what this is since I can't find it anywhere. Hoping someone with a stock car would know, since mine is pretty pieced together.

Unit is on the driver side, behind the brake booster. 1984 T/A

Any help is appreciated, thanks =]
