Wire color here perhaps:

http://www.austinthirdgen.org/index.php?pid=19

Check with, say Autozone or Rockauto. Simply put in year, make, and model (along with the part you're looking for) and the site should show/determine the part you need.

Re: help

should be a single green wire and I think if you ground that wire with the key on it should peg the gauge if it's working properly

Re: help

Ok, Dustin. I'm not trying to tell you what to do. It's your car, but it's sounds like you may have a project on your hands. I've got an 87 IROC that "needed some work". Hindsight is always 20/20 on these things, but I would recommend you get a pen and paper and start making a list of what you NEED to do to the car. Then make another list of what you WANT to do to the car. I fell into the trap initially of trying to fix a lot of little things, when I really needed to fix some big things that would make some of the little things easier to deal with. If you are looking to make the car a daily driver and not much else, fix your carb and temp gauge and enjoy yourself. If you have bigger plans, make your lists and set priorities. Just a little friendly advice from someone who has been there, done that, and didn't have a clue.

Re: help

Wire color is Green. and runs from the loom behind the block down to the driver side.
There is also the same plug on the other side that is a green wire as well.
