not sure if this is the right place or not, but here it goes.
88 gta auto 305

I need to know if its alright to bypass the coolant going threw the throttle.
It starts from the top of the radiator into the thermostat houseing then there is a hose running from the engine into the throttle, then from the throttle into the heater control valve. Now can i just run a hose from the engine into the heater valve. I believe the only reason it goes threw the throttle is to keep it warm for cold conditions, but not to sure if it well affect anything else

Thank You

NAPA has a 5/8 hose with a 90* on one end. I would have to dig out some old receipts to find part number.
