Just put in a trans cooler... should i run it with the radiator or just the trans cooler? I already hosed it just to the trans cooler... will it be fine that way?

Thank You

Re: Trans cooling

If you will be driving in only warm weather then just through the trans cooler is fine. Otherwise run it through the radiator too.

Re: Trans cooling

I was told by a tranny shop that you can never run an automatic too cool. The cooler the better. He said it was an old myth that you needed to warm up the transmission in the winter.

Re: Trans cooling

I watched one of the hotrod shows years ago and an expert stated that for every 10 degrees you drop in trans temp you add ten thousand miles. Heat is the number one enemy of an automatic trans.
