I didnt realy know where to put this but anyway I see delete boxes for sale that look like they use the existing fan motor? Then I see threads saying you cant use the AC motor/fan. Someone please enlighten me on this

Re: AC delete box question

You cant reuse your existing a/c/heat fan because the fan cage is thinner on the delete box to account for it being closer to the firewall.

Re: AC delete box question

Someone correct me if im wrong but i think you can use the old motor but you need the AC delete fan cage (mouse wheel) for the reason said above.

Re: AC delete box question

I went to the junk yard and got one from a 92 S10 with the motor & fan cage for $20. Took it home and sanded and painted it up like new. Looked on my buddys non air iroc and it was the exact same as his factory box. Works perfect! looks factory!

Re: AC delete box question

I have a question regarding the a/c delete fan box. How do u wire it up?!?! It came with the 91 z28 project I got. Engine wiring harness was already cut (everything on passenger side) all wires on driver side look like stock length. Please help. Color or connectors? I would it to work. Thanx.
