heater blows only cold air

when temp is up, still blows cold air. air mostly comes out of the defroster no matter where the control is selected to. has plenty of coolant. heater core is not plugged, i flushed it out. when i slide the heater control from cool to hot, i can hear it opening the vent.
thanks for any help||||!

Re: heater blows only cold air

could be the thermostat
could be the water pump
take the cap of the radiator and see if its flowing also check radiator fluid level

Re: heater blows only cold air

If the heater hoses are good and hot when the engine is at operating temp its your selector or the blend door. Since your air all comes out your defrost I'd say you have a problem w the selector or in the heater box.
