Overheat problem
I have a 5.7 L V8 Formula 350 firebird that will overheat when driven for long periods of time.
I've got coolant that will keep the temp down, but it literally begins to boil if I drive over 30 miles.
The gauges work fine. I'm just wondering if flushing the radiator will help keep it cool? I don't have much money since I am rebuilding the transmission, so anything that will work that is cheap is a great help.
Thanks.

Re: Overheat problem
Have you checked the obvious stuff? Do the fans work and do they come on at the right temp.? Check that the thermostat isn't corroded shut.
