Heating issues

I have an 87 Trans AM GTA the car keeps overheating the fans have been wired to come on automatically when the car is started someone told me that the fans may be pulling instead of pushing the heat out is that possible and if so how can this be tested and reversed also once this issue is resolved I would like to reconnect the fans so they come on only when neccesary any ideas or help would be appreciated .

This Is Only A Test …… Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep

You can test it by turning the key to the RUN position, but keep the engine OFF, then putting your hand in front of the grill on the outside of the car.

If the fan is wired incorrectly you will feel the fan.

The corrective action is to reverse the wires going to the fan.

Happy Racing!
