Need help & info. about a Water pump.
I'm sorry I'm new to this. I have a couple of questions about my water pump for my 89 Camaro RS. (5.0 Liters)
1) What happens if you spot a leak on your water pump coming from a weep hole?
2) Can you fix a leak weep hole on a water pump?
3) What does a weep hole on a water pump do?

1-means the shaft seal is leaking
2-shaft seal will need replaced-usually the water pump is replaced as a press and other special tools are needed to replace the seal
3-weep hole is a path for coolant seeped/leaked from the seal to escape instead of going through the bearing and ruining it.

Time for a new water pump. They're stupid cheap and easy to install. Replace your hoses while you're there.
