heat diverter questions
Hi Guys,
I've searched the threads on the heat diverter valve and am more confused than ever now. What I have seems a bit unique or I just missed the threads that pertain to this. I have a valve that only has two outlets, not three. I'm using a TPIS throttle body (that has no coolant lines) on my HSR and am trying to figure out how to run my coolant lines. I have a small hose that runs from my water pump to my intake manifold beside the therm housing. I have a 90 elbow coming out of the intake manifold just below the therm housing that ran to the heater valve but was blocked off on the other side of the valve. The port on my radiator was blocked off too so I had no heater core before I took the engine out. Is this the correct valve for my 92 Z28 with a/c? If so should I use it? I also do not have the hardline that runs along the framerail. My thoughts were that I'd run from the front of the intake to the valve, then the valve to the small port on the heater core since they're the same size. Then I'd run from the large port on the heater core to the radiator since they're the same size. Am I going in the wrong direction? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
Ok just added two pics. The second one shows an arrow showing flow running in to the top hose and down/through the lower. Any advice?

Re: heat diverter questions
What you describe for a fix will work just fine, should be a direction of flow arrow on the valve. I have done what you describe and have had no problems. Will be the same set up as many other gms when you are finished.
