Engine: 350
Transmission: 350 turbo
Axle/Gears: 410
help running hot

I have a 86 camaro with a 350 40 over the temp is running 220 or warmer its got a 195 thermostat and 2 electric fans and the radiator size is 32in long by 18 1/2 tall by 2in thick and I've flushed the radiator out any help would be appreciated thanks

Assuming you are running a stock set up, the factory fan on our cars doesn't come on until 225*, the second fan on dual fan cars doesn't come on until 235* or so. From what you've mentioned, the car is running right where it's supposed to. If you want to cool it off a little more, change the fan switch to change when the second fan turns on and program the ECM to turn the primary fan on earlier.

Also, WHEN does it run at these temperatures? sitting? Highway?
If it cools off on the highway to around 195, what you are describing sounds like normal operation.

it runs 220 or warmer on the highway sitting it gets about 240.....I just got a new 4 core radiator and a 160 thermostat for it ....and the fans come on when I turn the key on its done that since I got the car

Air Dam on the car??? This under body part is a major item for the cooling system and by your Posts it sounds like you don't have one.

With no Air Dam you'll stay cool while tooling around town but run hot on the highway.
