Quick question about water pump pulley and belts

So I have my water pump and alternator going off the same belt and same groove for the crank pulley. The first groove is that for the water pump? Or is that for A/C? I dont have a/c by the way. Is it spinning the water pump slower the way I have it routed? It's a dumb question I know...

Re: Quick question about water pump pulley and belts

Non-A/C V-belt setup should have one belt that goes from the crankshaft to the water pump and alternator. Another belt goes from the crankshaft to the water pump to the power steering pump. Finally there is a belt that runs from the water pump to the air injection pump.
