Coolant Temp Sensor location?

So after recently putting a new engine into my car, and painstakingly put the thermostat on that came with it, I discovered that this sensor that screws into the stock thermostat housing is required for the whole computer control junk It's got an edelbrock intake on it, and I don't know specifics, I can get to that later, but for now, I'm wondering if there are any spots on the intake or even on the block that I could screw this sensor into? (I know it's not the one for the gauge) I really really really don't want to go through putting on the stock thermo housing because it was not easy getting this one to work and I finally succeeded after a couple fun experiences with leaks and using shorter bolts/different gaskets haha.

That's about the best I can provide for pictures right now, this is an older one from a couple weeks ago, I hope to go out tomorrow and tackle this problem.
