squirrel cage problem, and vac. line

Hey guys, so my blower motor doesnt always spin, sometimes i have to hit it and it sounds like its hitting something. I did a search and found that the non a/c squirrel cage is shorter, i have an a/c delete box so is that most likely the issue? I pulled the motor off once and it spun fine and when installed worked maybe a week then started growling again. Now it wont spin at all. Also i just replaced a leaking heater core and the vacuum line going to the heater diverter valve broke back by the heater lines on the firewall, i was gonna splice it back but i dont know where it came from. So does vacuum open the valve or is it stuck shut till i fix it? Thanks.

In case no one knows what a squirrel cage is its the fan on the blower motor, basically is the shorter fan needed for the a/c delete box from hawks thirdgen. And can someone please tell me where the vacuum line for the heater diverter valve goes around the back of the passenger side head, thats where it broke. Thanks.

Can't say anything about the blower motor, but for the location of the heater valve it goes to a plastic hard-line which goes into a loom near the A/C box would be. There's a few pics of where it hooked up in this thread: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/cool...ve-vacuum.html

If the AC version is longer, could you make a spacer under the motor mounts to give it more room?

Go get a new motor for 30 buck and just get a Non AC Version
