no oil pressure in idle and overheated

i just got my engine timed in to run well but im not getting any oil pressure in idle. i get 25 psi when given gas but when i let off the pressure drops. i got the car back in the garage and had a bunch of steam come from under the hood and coolant all over the floor. looks like it boiled over from the expantion tank, not from a rupture in the system. is my lack of oil pressure to blame for this or did i just fill the rad too much?

Re: no oil pressure in idle and overheated

dont know why it over heated but my oil pressure issue was that i replaced the oil pump and properly installed the gasget ( dont use stupid silicone) ended up getting 70 psi. added a breather on the valve cover and its working great. just blew up my trans on the freeway so have to get that rebuilt or something.
