Re: Radiator Express?

Would be nice to have a radiator thread... I am also in need. Please post where you purchased your radiator from and relevant info like cubic inches and horsepower, etc.

Re: Radiator Express?

Hi James C. I have not bought a camaro radiator from them but I have bought many to repair cars at our carlots over the years. They deliver fast and we never had a bad one after install. Quality seemed at least as good as oem to me. I need one for my 89 irocz at some point. The previous owner put one that isn't for a third gen in it. Has not been my priority since the poor car isn't quite ready for longer runs just yet.

Matts, you might check the sticky at the top of the page. I'm considering a Champion 3 row, but issues with fitment and reliability are troubling.

Thanks for the info, fan.

Does anyone still make an OE 3 row? I note there are two sizes of OE: a 7/8 and a 1 1/4. Is size difference between a 1 row and a 3 row? Or is "heavy duty" the key word for a 3 row?

James did you ever get this 2 row? Im looking at it too. Noticed you had issues with the champion.

No, I tried the American Eagle version, but it didn't fit (though the interchange number was the same as the OE version). I ended up with a Murray from O'Reilly's. Perfect fit. Cools without issue.

Re: Radiator Express?

James, seems this radiator is a champion unit. 1.75 thick core. When I emailed radiator express they told me they manufactured it. My stock one still works just looks real beat up but is original gm 1 3/8 core thickness. I wonder if I can straighten the fins and clean it up some as I hate to get rid of it. I had a supercharged 355 with this radiator and no issues. I have no ac though so that may be an issue.
