Fan switch

Got a 160 stat in the car. Hypercrap fan switch has crap'd the bed already. I found a ron francis on at 176 off at 161. Quality on it seems questionable so I was hoping to find an alt with better quality.

SW555 is a good switch for lower temps on around 212 and off around 205. Probably a good thing yours went it was set way to low for proper engine operation

I've run a 205 on/190 off fan temp switch from jet for 8 years with no issues. Are you sure it's not the wiring?

Sorry, 195 on. Part number 60600

Couple this with a 180* thermostat, a good dual fan set up (I recommend LS1 fan swap because it basically drops in with some minor dremel work) and you'll be all set.

I am on my third Ron Francis AR33. So far, I have had 2 fail in one car. They both lasted around 10-11 months. My other car has been running the came Hypertech switch for 13 years. From what I can find, the Ron Francis has the closest temperature operation range to the Hypertech switch. I believe the Hypertech switch isn't available any more. At least it wasn't the last time I tried to buy one.....

hypercrap 4026 and a 160 t-stat for over 20 yrs in one of my cars. Same in the others just not as many yrs.
Only problem is a melted connector when I didn't get it clipped on all the way.

running that one was only 6 months and it failed on the belt parkway in NYC. will replace but the only saving grace was switching the ac to ON.
