Dropped flat tip bit?!!!
Hey guys...so I was not sure where to post this question at...but I guess it relates to "cooling". So I was replacing my thermostat housing 87 Camaro 305 TPI)...and the small U-shape hose, that is right above the forward bolt...well I was using a small flat tip bit inside of a socket to loosen the clamp. Well...I dropped the bit. I didn't hear it bounce onto the garage floor....I swear to god, I looked for 3 hours trying to find this thing! I used a straight magnet the best I could, climbed under the car put my fingers inside that, had a small flexible pipe brush and bent that around to try and scoop it out from under the pullys at the bottom, and nothing! I looked everywhere and no luck...it is black, so that didn't help. I even took the car outside and put my water hose on jet and sprayed some areas...tried the best I could to use compressed air can (probably wouldn't work anyways bad angles), I looked at the belts where they start to come off the pullys thinking maybe it was setting inside one of the tracks...nothing! I guess my questions are...Im assuming its either somewhere I cant see it...or hit the floor and bounced a mile! And also at this point is there anything I should worry about...any chance its going to get snagged up in anything...or god forbid cause an issue?

Hey guys, so it was to the left where the alternator Was? Like in some little crevice. So it was weird...bc I looked level like straight ahead couldn't see it from above from the angle...i also just recently found out this is an 87 with the G80, and G92 codes...all original 305 5 speed with a 5000 yellow tach...so I guess when I paid 13,500 that was fair lol...pretty excited about this find, just say in lol. O and it has the rear disk and like every option available for 87
